Legal information

Online demo: terms of use and privacy

The access rules for the Turnpilot online demo, reserved for people we have given an account to, and how we handle sign-in data.

Purpose

These terms apply to the Turnpilot online demo at demo.turnpilot.fr (the “demo”). It is published by TURNPILOT SAS, whose details are given in the legal notice. By signing in, you accept these terms; the sign-in page asks you to accept them before your first access.

Access

  • Access is reserved for people to whom TURNPILOT SAS has given an account. Each account is personal and non-transferable: do not share your username or password.
  • Passwords are assigned by TURNPILOT SAS. A reset request (“forgot password”) is sent to TURNPILOT SAS, which will get back to you: no link is ever sent to a third-party address.
  • After three failed sign-in attempts within two minutes, the account is locked for ten minutes. A session lasts at most twelve hours and closes after one hour of inactivity.
  • TURNPILOT SAS may suspend or delete an account at any time, in particular at the end of the demo period or in the event of use contrary to these terms.

Confidentiality

The demo contains confidential information belonging to TURNPILOT SAS: interface, how the product works, scenarios, methods and presentation data. You undertake to:

  • not disclose or communicate this information to third parties, including people within your organisation who have not been given an account;
  • not record, reproduce or distribute the demo, in whole or in part, in particular through screenshots, video recordings or copying code;
  • not analyse it to reconstruct how it works, not extract its content by automated means, and not use it to design a competing product.

These commitments apply during the demo and after it ends.

Intellectual property

The demo, its code, interface, text, images and the Turnpilot brand are the property of TURNPILOT SAS and are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code. Access grants you no rights over them beyond viewing them during the demo period. See the intellectual property section of the legal notice.

Nature of the demo

The flights, times, stations, teams, equipment and events shown are demonstration data. Airline and airport names are used for illustration only: they do not refer to Turnpilot customers or partners. The artificial intelligence features are simulated from this data. The demo is provided as is, with no availability guarantee, and does not constitute a contractual commitment.

Personal data

Data controller

TURNPILOT SAS, Quai du Docteur Scheydt, 34200 Sète, France. Contact: contact [at] turnpilot [dot] fr.

Data processed

  • Account: your account username and the person it was given to. The sign-in portal keeps only an encrypted fingerprint (argon2id) of the password.
  • Sign-ins: IP address, date and time, browser and the result of each sign-in attempt.
  • Session: one strictly necessary cookie (tp_demo_session), secure and inaccessible to scripts, which expires after twelve hours at the latest. Your acceptance of these terms is remembered in your browser.
  • Web server logs: IP address, date and time, page requested and browser, as on any web server.

The demo has no audience measurement, no advertising and no tracking tools. What you do in the demo (clicks, decisions, drafted messages) stays in your browser and is not recorded on our servers.

Managing access, securing the demo against unauthorised access and presenting the product at your request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in securing and presenting our product, and pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Retention

  • sign-in attempt history: 30 days, deleted automatically;
  • web server logs: 14 days;
  • sign-in portal technical logs: deleted continuously by automatic rotation;
  • account: until the end of the demo period, then deleted.

Recipients and hosting

Only TURNPILOT SAS can access the data. The demo is hosted on our server, located in France, with OVH SAS. To display the satellite map, your browser loads map tiles from IGN (Géoplateforme, France) and Esri (ArcGIS, United States); these providers then receive your IP address, under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. Write to contact [at] turnpilot [dot] fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.

For the turnpilot.fr website itself, see the privacy policy.
