Legal information

Privacy policy

Privacy policy, no cookies. This website measures its traffic with a tool we host ourselves and handles the emails you send us, so we can reply.

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit the Turnpilot website or write to us. It covers the website only. For data protection within the product, see the security and data page.

Data controller

The data controller is TURNPILOT SAS (company being incorporated), Quai du Docteur Scheydt, 34200 Sète, France, represented by Taihau MARCHAL. For any question about your data, write to contact [at] turnpilot [dot] fr.

This website sets no cookies on your device and uses no advertising trackers, no social media pixels and no tool that follows you from site to site.

Audience measurement

We measure traffic to this website with Matomo, open-source software that we host ourselves on our server in France. No data is passed to any third party or used for advertising.

  • Data collected: your full IP address, the approximate location derived from it (country, region, city), the internet provider or organisation that owns the address (obtained by reverse DNS lookup), pages viewed and time spent, the referring website, device, operating system and browser type, language, screen resolution and clicks on our contact links.
  • Purposes: measuring the website’s audience and performance, and understanding which kinds of organisations are interested in Turnpilot so we can tailor our content and sales approach.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because it keeps the full IP address, this set-up does not fall under the CNIL’s consent exemption for anonymous audience measurement; you can object at any time, easily, below.
  • No cookies: no cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device; pages within one visit are linked by a technical identifier computed for the current day only and not kept from one day to the next.
  • Location: derived from the IP address on our server using the IP Geolocation by DB-IP database (CC BY 4.0 licence); no GPS location is ever requested.
  • Retention: detailed data, including the IP address, is deleted after 13 months; only aggregated reports are kept beyond that.

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, your visits are not measured. You can also object here at any time (your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, without cookies):

Server logs

Like any web server, ours keeps technical logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) to keep the website secure and working. They serve no other purpose and are deleted after 14 days.

Emails you send us

When you write to us at contact [at] turnpilot [dot] fr, we process the information in your message: your name, your email address, your organisation and whatever you choose to tell us about your operation.

  • Purpose: to answer your request, arrange a demo or a review of your station, and follow up on our conversations.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us and, where your request concerns our services, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
  • Recipients: only the members of the Turnpilot team responsible for replying to you, and our technical service providers within the limits of their tasks: our host OVH SAS, which hosts our email in France, and Google Ireland Limited (Gmail), where a copy of incoming messages is kept so that they can be handled. Google may process this data outside the European Union, under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and standard contractual clauses). Your data is neither sold nor transferred.
  • Retention period: as long as needed to handle your request, then no more than three years after our last exchange, in line with CNIL recommendations for prospect relationships; if a contract follows, for its duration plus the applicable statutory limitation periods.

Please include in your message only the information relevant to your request, and no passenger data.

Hosting

The website and our email are hosted by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, on a dedicated server located in France. Full details are given in the legal notice.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection, as well as the right to data portability where it applies.

To exercise these rights, write to contact [at] turnpilot [dot] fr. We may ask you to prove your identity if there is reasonable doubt.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change, in particular when the company is registered or if our audience measurement changes. The date of the last update is shown on this page.

This privacy policy is an English version provided for convenience; the French version prevails.
